my wash machine seem to be broke only fiils with water and does not stop. or it dont fill with water...?
... and just spin a bit.
i though id let it fill just to see how much it would and to my suprice it would not stop AT ALL. its a hot cold connector. but i swear the cold has never worked. as when i switch the hot water off from under the sink no water goes in even on a cold wash.
anyways any help will be great or do i need fork out for a new machine.
check the drain line to see if it is at least 32 inches from the ground if it is most washers have a pressure switch that tells the washer if it full or not if this switch is not made it will just keep trying to fill. it is an easy fix usally. take the controlbox off the washer usally two screws in the front of it on the front just flip it up and support it next remove the hold downs that are under it lift the entire metal housing off the washer on the drum you will fing a clear plastic hose pull it off of the drum check the drum end of hose for detergent build up just clean it with some kind of pick that fits in the hole next check the hose for the same cleaning it the same way worst case cut the portion of clogged hose there should be a little extra room to stretch it then reassemble washer and test
