proper acoustic guitar case fitting, how do i know if the case is too tight?
I have bought a new case for my guitar and it is quite snug. when latching closed the case pulls down and i can tell it must be putting pressure on the guitar. On the inside of the case there is an outline of the strings and bridge in the cushioning of the case. Can this hurt the guitar if it is putting pressure onto the bridge?
If you don't have to force the lid closed, you are probably alright. Some pressure on the bridge is actually a good thing, helping to keep it in tune just a little bit more. As you said, it ought to be snug, but you must not force it.
